Unlucky in love Cameron Diaz looked glum as she took a dip in Hawaii in the wake of her split with British model Paul Sculfor.
The actress, who split with the former brickie earlier this month, appears to be holidaying alone in the spot popular with honeymoon couples.
Looking tanned and toned, the 36-year-old wore a tiny green frilled bikini which left little to the imagination.
And it seemed to be causing her problems as she constantly fiddled with the bottoms as she waded in the clear waters.
There was no sign of Adam Levine, lead singer with Maroon 5, who she was spotted lunching with last week.
The pair dined together at the Chateau Marmont sparking rumours of a budding new romance.
The Hollywood actress, who turns 37 in August, ended her year-long relationship with former Essex bricklayer after she refused to move to the UK.
She recently spoke to Parade magazine about her views on love, saying: ‘I think that what I’ve found, in my experience, is that you always find the person who you’re meant to be with at that time in your life.
And what I’ve also found is that you have to move on from those people at certain times, because that’s the way it happens.’
And she said she doesn’t mind approaching 40: ‘I don’t have a problem with growing older.
‘I really don’t. I have no problem with it. It’s wonderful. Thank God we get older because if we’re not getting older, we’re dead.’
Prior to her relationship with Sculfor, she briefly dated singer John Mayer and had a four-year relationship with Justin Timberlake. They were often pictured laughing together in the sea as they surfed.
Sculfor was with Jennifer Aniston for a few months in 2007.
Cameron is due to begin promoting her new film, My Sister’s Keeper, in the next few weeks.
And she has already signed up to another movie called Swingles, with Zach Braff.
Avril Lavigne cracks a rare smile in the Malibu surf

In some minds, Avril Lavigne will for ever be a surly teenager swathed in baggy clothes.
But the Complicated singer, now 24, cut a rather different figure while taking a dip in Malibu.
She looked positively happy as she splashed in the surf, bursting out laughing as her bikini threatened to slip down.
Even so, Avril stayed true to her punky style by keeping her baseball cap and jewellery on when she was in the water.
She enjoyed the waves with a female friend, before playing ball games and doing cartwheels on the sand.
The Canadian singer didn’t seem to have a care in world, despite rumours of marriage trouble.

The singer tied the knot with Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley in July 2006 after a two-year romance.
But there were reports at the end of last year that they had grown apart when she embarked on her world tour.
The distance was said to have put pressure on the couple and he was thought to have been struggling to deal with being overshadowed by his wife.
Call On Me video star Deanne Berry slips back into lycra leotard as new GMTV fitness guru

She sent pulses racing in 2004’s infamous music video for Call On Me – and now, Deanne Berry is set to spice up breakfast time too.
The voluptuous blonde, from Sydney, will join resident exercise expert Mr Motivator to launch the morning show’s summer bikini diet in the middle of June.
‘I love waking up to GMTV every morning and I’m absolutely thrilled to be a part of the team.

‘I’m very excited about working with Mr Motivator and I can’t wait to bring some healthy sunshine to Britain,’ Deanne told the Sun.
The ex-cheerleader first shot to fame in Swedish DJ Erik Prydz’s Call on Me – a racy video that saw her lead a 1980s aerobics class of skimpily clad women.
Deanne choreographed the sexually suggestive moves – and the video achieved such notoriety, that even then-PM Tony Blair commented on it.

[It] nearly made me fall off my rowing machine,’ he said.
It was slammed, however, by some parents, politicians and pressure groups, who branded it near-pornographic.
Deanne has also appeared as choreographer and lead in several work out videos from the Ministry of Sound’s Pump It Up series, and has choreographed fitness DVDs for Claire Richards and Coleen Nolan.
Burglars target Monica Bellucci’s Paris apartment
•May 31, 2009 • Leave a CommentPARIS (AP) — An official close to a Paris burglary investigation says an apartment belonging to movie star Monica Bellucci and her husband, French actor Vincent Cassel, was the target of a theft.
The official says the thieves made off with about euro80,000 ($111,000) worth of jewelry, two laptop computers and Bellucci’s Italian passport. The thieves broke into the apartment, in a four-story building in Paris’ gritty 20th district, through the balcony on Sunday evening.
The official was speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the record about an ongoing investigation.
Britain’s Got Botox Amanda Holden goes au naturel… with a little help from a jab or two
•May 31, 2009 • Leave a CommentBy Simon Cable
For most women approaching their 40th birthday, appearing without their make-up is simply not an option.
But Amanda Holden has bravely decided to go au naturel – and looks virtually unrecognisable.
The 38-year-old, who is heavily made-up for her appearances as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, showed off her surprisingly youthful features during a photoshoot.
However, anyone envious of her impossibly smooth skin can rest assured that it is not simply down to good genes.
The former actress has revealed that she relies on extensive use of Botox to keep her face wrinkle-free claiming she ‘doesn’t see the point in growing old gracefully’.
She admits having injections across her forehead, around her eyes and on her nose. She had her first injection in 2007 after realising she’d developed noticeable wrinkles while filming in the harsh African sun.
‘I have had Botox, which I’m happy to admit,’ she said. ‘It’s running out now, though – I need to go again.’
Of her first Botox treatment, she told Heat magazine: ‘It was just before Britain’s Got Talent started. I was doing my last bits of filming for Wild at Heart and had been squinting in the sun for so long because it was filmed in South Africa.
‘I could see the make-up artist having to cake over the creases around my eyes more and more and I just hated it. It was really starting to annoy me and once I’d noticed it, that was it. So I went to a place in South Africa for Botox and that was that.’
Botox, a nerve poison, works by temporarily paralysing the muscles where it is injected. Holden also admitted she has it so frequently, she likens it to doing her teeth.
Asked if she was nervous about having her first Botox injection she replied: ‘Oh no, I agree with Simon Cowell. It’s like cleaning your teeth – maintenance.
‘It’s like getting your roots done. I think as long as you don’t go stupidly over the top…I can move my face.
You can still see I’ve got some Botox in my forehead but the rest has virtually worn off. Yes, I think it’s character and everything else, but f*** it! That’s why I need to get it done again.’
Holden has ruled out going under the knife saying that she suffers from a skin condition which leaves her prone to heavy scarring. She has also denied having collagen implants in her lips.
However, she claims she will eventually have ‘fillers’ to smooth out lines around her mouth, adding: ‘My mum has amazing skin, so does my nan, but I think everything starts drooping around 45, so I know I’ll succumb.
‘The problem is that I’ve got keloid skin which means I scar really easily. So if I had surgery, I’d have worms of scar marks everywhere, so that’s not going to work for me.

‘One day I’ll look my age. Actually, that’s a lie – I want to look like Joan Rivers. I don’t see the point in growing old gracefully.’
Holden married record producer Chris Hughes last year and the couple have a three-year-old daughter, Lexi.
Speaking of her appearance she said: ‘I think I’ve got small, piggy eyes. I always have to wear smudgy eye-liner – even if I’m just going to Waitrose.’

Are Bristol Palin, Miss California role models

Experts say kids savvy enough to sniff out hypocrisy among public figures
By Michael Ventre

They seem to come out of nowhere. They have a lot to say. They seek those who will listen.
They are role models. Or are they?
Recently, Bristol Palin, the 18-year-old daughter of Alaska governor and former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, set out on a campaign to urge young people to practice abstinence. “If girls realized the consequences of sex, nobody would be having sex,” she told People Magazine. “Trust me. Nobody.” She became pregnant by former boyfriend Levi Johnston and gave birth to a son in late December.
Carrie Prejean, the reigning Miss California and Miss USA contestant, answered a question about gay marriage by saying she was against it, which then created a flap that brought about a raft of other news stories about her.
The actual issues in these cases, and in many others involving those who find sudden fame and then translate that into a platform for their views, raise an interesting debate:
Do these individuals really have an influence on young people? Are they indeed role models?
“They certainly have the potential,” said Kristin Anderson, associate professor of psychology at the University of Houston-Downtown. “Kids tend to find role models that have something in common with them, or potentially in common, such as gender, or ethnicity, or even social class.”
